Reading Is Fundamental
Reading is Fundamental is our national philanthropy project. Our chapter works hard each year raising money for this cause. We also donate our time volunteering and collecting books.
Reading is Fundamental works to build a literate nation by helping young people discover the joy of reading. RIF's highest priority is to serve the nation's under-served children and families through the development and delivery of literacy programs and campaigns that motivate youth to read regularly.

Kappa Klassic
Each year we plan a pool tournament to raise money for RIF. It is always a great success. This past year there were over 50 teams.
Chili Cook-Off
During the spring semester, our chapter helps organize a Chili Cook-Off. Hundreds of people show up to taste everyone's chili, enjoy the music, and of course support our philanthropy.
Other Activities
Kappa Kappa Gamma is very active in the Austin community. Each holiday a group of women go to the Children's Hospital to decorate it. Members also participate in Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
